In a swap transplant, two or more incompatible donor-recipient pairs exchange kidneys so each recipient gets a compatible kidney.
How it works
If your donor is not a match, their kidney goes to another recipient, whose donor gives to you. All surgeries are coordinated together.
Legal status
Swap transplants are legal in India under THOTA, with State Authorisation Committee approval.
